Commercial tricycle operator dies after slumping

Barely 24 hours after an unidentified man died at the Ogbor Hill axis of Aba, the commercial hub of Abia State during early morning exercise, a commercial tricycle operator on Tuesday slumped and died near popular Bata bus stop along ever busy factory road.

The man who was later identified as Ogbonna Uche was suspected to have died of heart attack.

 Uche was said to have been coming from Ikot-Ekpene Road towards the Aba Main Park when the unfortunate incident occurred.

An eyewitness who gave his name as Philip disclosed that late Uche after crossing the major road suddenly held his chest, screaming “My heart, my heart”, but before help could come his way, he had already slumped and died.

 Also speaking another eyewitness who gave his name as Mr. John Mmeribe corroborated Philip, adding, “We asked him the phone number of his wife, he said that his wife has no phone. That was the last words that came from him before he collapsed and died”.

 Mmeribe added that a small bottle of an unknown substance was found on the man’s shirt pocket which he must have taken before the ugly incident took place.

Another eyewitness, Mr. Okwubunka also identified the late tricycle driver as Ogbonna Uche said that the late Uche is his brother and hailed from Okpulo-Umuobo in Osisioma local government council.

Okwubunka disclosed that the deceased “has been suffering from heart issues which is not natural but he has been managing it until now.”
