Labour Party candidate Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso yesterday formally flagged off the OFUJI Movement Campaign for Bende Federal House of Representatives, declaring that the 2027 election will be about service, unity, and development, not division.
In a statement released today, August 19, 2026, Anyaso said he was beginning the journey “with gratitude to Almighty God, humility before our people, and an unshakable belief in the future of Bende.”
“This journey is bigger than Chima Anyaso. It is about our people, our children, our communities and the future we must build together,” he told _Ndi Bende_.

Anyaso said he is offering Bende “leadership that listens, is accessible, accountable and understands that public office is a sacred responsibility to serve the people.”
He pledged an issue-based campaign driven by “hope, unity, peace and ideas—not hatred, bitterness or division,” stressing that “Bende North and Bende South are one people. Elections will come and go, but Bende will remain.”
To supporters, he gave a clear code of conduct: “campaign confidently, but remain humble. Be courageous, but respectful. Tell our story, present our vision, and allow the people to decide.”
*From Service to the National Assembly*
The candidate recalled his years of community service outside public office and said he is now seeking a mandate to take that work to the National Assembly.
“I have always believed that leadership is not a title; leadership is service. I have served without public office, and today I ask Ndi Bende for the opportunity to take that commitment to service to the National Assembly and do even more,” Anyaso said.
He made a firm promise to constituents: “I promise to work, listen, remain accessible, protect your trust and stay accountable to you. By the special grace of Almighty God, I WILL NOT DISAPPOINT NDI BENDE.”
*Ward-to-Ward Mobilization Begins*
The OFUJI Movement will immediately begin grassroots engagements across the federal constituency.
“From today, we take our message from ward to ward, community to community, village to village and family to family. The journey has begun,” he declared.
He closed with a rallying cry in Igbo: “Ndi Bende, I am ready. The OFUJI Movement is ready. BENDE IS READY! O GA ADIKA OLUEBUBE! OFUJI 2027!”
Anyaso ended with prayers for Bende, Abia State and Nigeria.
