The body of a shoemaker in Aba, the commercial nerve of Abia State has been recovered after he was abducted from his shop.
The man simply identified as one Mr. Chinaza Nwogu was a member of United Shoes and Allied Industrial Union, Ariaria International Market, Aba.
He was said to have his shop located No.1 Imo Avenue, by 175 B Faulks Road, Aba, where he was abducted by masked men.
The masked men numbering over 50 were said to have abducted him between 2:30am to 3:00am.
His abduction was said to have caused pandemonium in the area as people who were in their shops at that time ran for safety.
Reasons for his abduction by the masked men were said to have remained unknown at the time of filing the report.
Information has it that his body was found around an abattoir located along Umuechem community in Osisioma local government area of the state.
Sources from the Abia State Police command confirming the incident, disclosed that a close inspection of the body of the deceased shoemaker shows that he has suspected bullet wounds on his heart region and left leg, while he had cuts on the right hand suspected to be machete cut.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary for presentation and autopsy.
Some members of the deceased shoemaker who pleaded anonymous said that they were yet to come to terms on what their deceased member did that could warrant his killing in such a gruesome manner.
They called on the security agencies to wade in and fish out those behind the killing.
On the identify of those that killed their colleague, they said that only police and security agencies thorough Investigation will reveal those behind the dastardly act.
