Aba North and South Fed. Lawmaker visits victims of fire incident

Member representing Aba North/South Federal Constituency in the Green Chambers of the National Assembly, Rtn. Hon. Ossy Prestige on Sunday November 18 paid sympathy visit to the traders of Timber/Building Materials section of Nkwo Ngwa whose shops were gutted by Saturday’s inferno.

Infonet9ja.com had reported that the Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Chris Ezike was at the market Sunday morning with Capt Awa Udensi (rtd), the Senior Special Adviser to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, the Aba Area Commander; ACP Peter Okpara and among other senior officers under Abia Police Command.

Prestige who was apparently disturbed by the level of damage suffered by the traders promised to bring relief to the victims as much as his capacity can carry him.

He also promised to see that the market was rehabilitated as soon as possible to enable those who can start up life afresh to do so, stressing that it was unfortunate that such calamity could befall the traders.

The Aba North and South Federal lawmaker who is also seeking reelection under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) appealed to the traders to take heart and be courageous, stressing that it was not the end of their life.
