Abia State on Friday recorded fifty-four new cases of covid-19 in the State.
This was disclosed by the National Center for Disease and Control (NCDC) in a tweet on Friday.
Identity of patients of the new cases are not yet known at the time of the report.
The Abia State government is yet to issue any press statement on the new development.
Abia was 11 cases adrift the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) that recorded sixty-five number of new cases of covid-19.
According to NCDC, the total number of number of confirmed cases is 15181 with 4891 discharged and 399 deaths
