A cleric, the founder of John 3:16 Ministries, Aba, Abia State, Bro. Samuel Ajayi has blasted the country’s political leaders over what Nigerians are passing through particularly this period of lockdown to contain the ravaging CONVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking in Aba, the commercial nerve of the state, Okonkwo regretted that Nigerians are suffering and dying in their numbers of hunger as a result of lack of proper planning and provision of social amenities by the political leaders, yet, governments across the country claim they have spent billions of Naira on the people.
“It is a thing of regret that despite our God’s given wealth, Nigerians are suffering and dying in their numbers of hunger as a result of lack of proper planning and non-provision of social amenities by our political leaders, yet, governments across the country claimed they have spent billions of naira on the people”.
The cleric said citizens of the country could not have felt the impact of COVID-19 induced lockdown the way they are feeling it today if governments in the land had put the basic human necessities such as water and light in place.
He said it was for this reason that the best brains in the country left the shores of the land and would not come back and urged political leaders to put in place things that would make life better for the masses.
Bro. Okonkwo believed it is only God that can save mankind from the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic and not wholly measures being put in place by governments which he said were mere cosmetics.
He described the Coronavirus as “Jacob’s Trouble”, which was allowed into the world as a lesson to mankind, revealing that, “It is only God that can save us from this pandemic and not necessarily all these do’s and don’ts by various governments”.

He said the pandemic was revealed to him five years ago and he made it clear in the Ministry’s Magazine last December and urged people to repent of their sins and turn to God so He could heal the land.
