Gov Ikpeazu offers employment, scholarship to best Law graduate

The Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has directed the Vice-Chancellor of the Abia State University to immediately offer Okala Oluchi, the position of a Graduate Assistant in the Faculty of Law of the University. 

Okala Oluchi, An indigene of Ohafia in Ohafia Local Government Area of the state was said to have graduated with First Class Honors from the Faculty of Law of the Abia State University and repeated the same feat at the Nigeria Law School. She was called to the Nigerian Bar today in Abuja.

In addition, the Governor announced a Post Graduate Scholarship to the young lady up to the PhD level at the University and a cash reward of One Million Naira. 

In a release by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ikpeazu; Mr. Onyebuchi Ememanka, Ikpeazu was of the firm view that any Abian who excels and brings honor to the State in any given endeavor deserves the collective accolades of the Government and People of the State.

“In this case of Oluchi Okala”, the Governor continued, “her academic feats have put not only our State University but indeed, our State in positive light. She is the reason why our State University’s name appears on the list of Universities that produced First Class graduates of the Nigeria Law School this session.

“That she sustained her First Class performance at the University and the Law School speaks to the quality of teaching at the Abia State University and the State in general. 

Speaking further, Governor Ikpeazu said “As an academic who understands the nuances of the academic community, I know a product for the academia when I see one.
