I thank him most profoundly for giving our dear Governor Elder Okezie Victor Ikpeazu Ph.D resounding victory at the polls. His victory is the people’s imprimatur on his acceptance. It is a greater vindication for all of us who have unapologetic belief in his ability.

“Friends, I have been inundated with calls, messages and enquiries about events of the last 48hours. Let me tell you for certain that there has never been anything I asked God from my heart that He has never obliged me.

“If He let this happen, then He has a purpose and I will be all out for His grand plan and restrategizing moment.

“I am grateful to God that despite the desperate attempts by resident enemies to cause bloodshed and perhaps loss of lives, God sat tight on the throne to give us peace and respite.

“Thank you to Umunna Traditional Rulers, party faithful (the very few that resisted the temptation of damaging their own), members of the Central Campaign Council,  supporters, women and our youths who expended quality hours canvassing for votes, we campaigned like no other, visited all hamlets and autonomous communities, site projects in all wards.

“Then the voters, the real most valuable players; you are the real winners.

“Friends, God answers all prayers; sometimes He says Yes and at other times, He says No. It is up to us as people of God to know what answer God has given to a particular prayer.  To me the worst a believer can experience is a minor setback and no major upset.

“From my heart I congratulate the winner Chijioke Chukwu though his winning it’s not the will of the people but that of in-house enemies. I have no intention of court action against anyone.

“It was an election and not even the moral equivalent of war. We are happy and strong. Abia is still PDP and will so I remain.”
