Partial outage as EEDC embarks on maintenance of facility

Some parts of Enugu State capital will this weekend experience power outage as engineers of the Southeast Power Distribution Company embarks on routine maintenance of its facility.

 

This was disclosed by the Head of Communication of the power company, Mr. Emeka Ezeh in a release on the official facebook wall of the agency.

 

Eze in the release said that the exercise which will affect the State’s sit of power and the 33KV feeders at Independence Layout and other parts of the city.

The release read “PLANNED OUTAGE IN PARTS OF ENUGU METROPOLIS

“This is to inform our esteemed customers of a planned outage scheduled for Friday, 31st August, 2018 from 11.30am to 3.00pm; and on Saturday, 1st September, 2018 from 10.00am to 3.00pm.

“This is to enable our team of engineers conclude work on feeder re-arrangement at our New Haven Injection Substation. The exercise will affect our Government House 33KV, Kingsway (Line 1) 33KV and Independence Layout 33KV feeders.

“As a result of this development, which is aimed at stabilizing and improving electricity supply, our customers in New Haven, Government House, Independence Layout, Lomalinda, Maryland, Ogui Road, New Layout, Obiagu, College Road, Ziks Avenue, UNEC, Achara Layout, Abakaliki Road, Coal Camp and Okpara Avenue will be affected.

“We sincerely apologise for the inconveniences this will cause our customers and assure them that supply will be restored as soon as work is completed.
