“I’M NOT HERE TO EAT, I’M HERE TO SERVE”: OFUJI TELLS BENDE POLITICS MUST CHANGE, SAYS ANYASO

0

Standing before supporters at the flag-off of his campaign, Labour Party’s candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr Chima Anyaso, popularly called OFUJI, made one thing clear: this race is not about a seat in Abuja. It is about Bende.

“*I am more interested in fixing Bende so that our young people don’t see politics as a means of livelihood, but they should understand that this is service*,” Anyaso told the crowd.

That single line has become the heartbeat of what his team now calls the OFUJI Project.

Anyaso says his connection to the people was built on the road. Before now, he toured all 184 wards across Abia State.

“My popularity was as a result of the fact that I have toured the entire 184 wards in Abia. If we can do 184 wards in Abia, 13 wards is not going to be difficult,” he said.

Now, that same energy is coming home to Bende. From Alayi to Igbere, Igbere to Item, Item to Itumbauzor, from Itumbauzor to Umuhu, to Bende, to Uzuakoli, to Umuimenyi/Nkpa and Ozuitem, the message is the same. Representation must be measured by impact.

*A “Divine Assignment” With Human Work*

Dr Anyaso describes the project as divine, but he is quick to add that faith demands work.

“Every divine assignment requires human commitment, organisation, sacrifice and hard work,” he noted.

That is why he has been assembling a team to take the message to every village square, market, and youth gathering in the constituency.

The core of the OFUJI Project, according to him, is simple. Public office is not a personal entitlement. It is a responsibility entrusted by the people. A representative must remain connected to Bende, not to Abuja or to cabals.

*The Proposition*

More than another campaign, OFUJI is pitching service-driven representation, youth empowerment, and community development. It is a direct challenge to the old idea that politics exists to feed politicians.

For a constituency tired of promises, Anyaso is asking voters to see leadership differently.

*Vote Labour Party. Vote Dr Chima Anyaso for an inclusive Representation.*
