Troops of 14 Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s Barracks, Ohafia, Ohafia local government area of Abia State, under Operation UDO KA have arrested suspected illicit drug peddlers in Ikwuano Local Government Area of the state.
Our correspondent gathered that the troops while acting on credible intelligence on Sunday, July 5, stormed Idoro Village and intercepted two suspects namely Adindu Nwaka and Chindedu Uwakwe while others escaped.
Captain Mazinho Attah, Assistant Director Army Public Relations 14 Brigade Nigerian Army Ohafia, who confirmed the arrest disclosed that items including a bag containing one card of 100mg tramadol, some quantity of cannabis and crystal methamphetamine (popularly known as Mkpụrụ Mmiri) were recovered by the troops.
“The suspects and recovered items are currently in custody for further interrogation and possible prosecution.
