One of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirants in Abia State, Eric Opah has been duly elected as the 2027 governorship candidate of the party.
Opah scored 126, 977 votes cast while his closest challenger, Henry Ikoh scored 5, 905 votes.
The returning officer and chairman Abia State Governorship election committee, Hon. Bartho Lalong, announcing the result of the primaries at the APC secretariat in Umuahia, the state capital, Thursday night expressed satisfaction over the peaceful conduct of the elections and high level of decorum maintained by the aspirants and party members in governorship primaries.
