IPOB Holds Conference Ahead Of Biafra Declaration Deadline

The factional leader of the outlawed Biafra Separatist group, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) led by Simon Ekpa has announced December 2, 2024 as date for the declaration of the restoration of the Sovereign State of Biafra Conference.

 

Ekpa, on Tuesday in a post via his verified X (formerly Twitter) handle said that the December date is sacrosanct.

Ekpa who also prides himself as the Prime Minister of Biafra Republic Government In-Exile (BRGIE) says its December 2, 2024, declaration of the restoration of the independent state of Biafra conference will be a historic event for the freedom of Biafrans.

 

Recall that the group in February began moves for what it described as Biafra Self-Referendum which the group said was to actualize the age-long agitated sovereign nation called The United States of Biafra.

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB had during his last appearance in court in Abuja warned that he was going to deal decisively those who ride on the shoulders of agitation for the actualisation for s Sovereign State of Biafra to cause bloodshed and insecurity in the southeast; an act that the Simon Ekpa’s led group has severally been accused of perpetuating.
