Ezekiel Gbenga is a 16-year-old pupil of Ijapo High School in Akure, Ondo State, who currently holds the World Guinness Record for most skips on one leg in one minute.

In February 2023, Gbenga erased Bangladesh’s Rasel Islam’s record of 262 skips in one minute on one foot to set a new Guinness World Record with 265 skips.

The teenager said he liked rope skipping because it was one of the most uncommon sports.

Stating that he always trained during his break time and in the stadium, the teenager added that the sport didn’t affect his studies.

He also expressed his dream to travel to China, India, and Bangladesh because they were considered one of the best skippers in the world.
