Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has called on members of the Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN) to stop protest and demonstration as he officially departed for the monastery.

Mbaka made the call via a video uploaded on the ministry’s official Facebook handle on Wednesday morning.

In the viral video, Mbaka told his followers that he was departing to the monastery in obedience to his Bishop.

He told them to back him up with prayers as he was embarking on deeper reflections and interior waiting on the Lord.

The Adoration Ministry, which was shut down three months ago, was re-opened last Sunday.

However, in the place of Fr. Mbaka, another clergy of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu, Rev. Fr. Anthony Amadi was posted to take charge of the Adoration Ministry.

Members of AMEN reacted with protest to the church’s decision in transferring Fr. Mbaka to the monastery.

In his farewell message, Mbaka told them that God would reverse everything.

“After handing over to Father Anthony Amadi, I started hearing that Father Mbaka spoke against Peter Obi(The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, LP). I, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka on that Sunday never mentioned Peter not to talk of Obi.

“Please, whoever that is being used by the devil to blackmail me in the name of doing any job for anybody is Satanic and should apologize and withdraw such nefarious and Satanic utterance and be careful when you want to harm the image of a man of God.

“Whoever did that, I have forgiven you but, I want to hear that you have apologized and withdrawn what you said against me on that day just to put the Adoration Ministry in trouble.

“Like I said that I heard that some people are planning to do protest, I have not asked anybody to protest for me and I don’t want to hear that there is any protest done to express anger to my journey to the Monastery.

“Help me fellow adorers to stop any kind of protest that anybody would want to do on my behalf to please me, because instead of the protest or demonstration helping me, it may jeopardize even my priestly call.

“Therefore, encourage peace and love within this time and do more of prayers and God in heaven will do the rest for us in Jesus name, Amen. Continue to pray the Rosary, continue to stay with the Blessed Sacrament, continue to live your life of righteousness, continue in charity, continue with the Bible’ the Word of God.

“Please, do not depart from the presence of God and never you hate the Church because of my exodus to the monastery and let me tell you, you can never tell, by the time I go and come back as Abraham said in Genesis chapter 22:5, I am going with my Bible. i am going not just with my Bible, I am going with the Holy Spirit, with Jesus, the Father and with the Angels. We are coming back and no cause for alarm. It is well.”
