A female Baker and HND student of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana, Afikpo, Ebonyi State, has reportedly commited suicide after her boyfriend abruptly ended their relationship.
The deceased student who was identified as Olivia James was said to have consumed a suspected poisonous substance after she was said to have misunderstanding with her boyfriend whose name was given as one Henry.
The boyfriend, information has it is now said to be on the run after the news of Olivia’s death broke.
According to reports, during the course of the misunderstanding, Henry who started avoiding efforts by Olivia to get his attention, stopped taking Olivia’s calls.
Sources who accused Henry of cheating said that he (Henry) for reasons best known to him, allowed unknown female to take Olivia’s calls.
Henry’s action was said to have enraged Olivia when it was dawning on her that she was losing her man.
It was learnt that Olivia who could not face the trauma of seeing a man she reportedly invested her resources in the laps of another lady or woman decided to take her life.
Olivia who was overwhelmed with depression as a result of Henry’s action was said to have left a Whatsapp message for one of her friends, notifying her of her decision to take her life.
The said friend was said to have rushed to her house upon getting the WhatsApp message, found her unconscious in her apartment.
