Abia Assembly Speaker Empowers Youths With ICT Skills In Continuation Of His Fight Against Illiteracy
War Against Illiteracy: Abia Speaker trains 200 Abians on ICT

In continuation of his philanthropic gestures with the understanding that there is increasing demand for certified Information and Communication Technologists (ICT) in the state, Nigeria and the world at large with the shifting of analogue to digitalization process, the Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji cartered for the training and equipping of about 200 Abia youths with computer skills.

The where trained in Graphics Designs, Web Development, Digital Market, and Computer Appreciation respectively.

The training which was flagged of by Rt. Hon. Orji is not only been expected to expose youths to the cyber space, but to discover raw talents that would not only be able to put food on their family’s tables, but people will be able to initiate innovative and transformative ideas that can be able to change the world around us.

The participants who could not hide their joy on what they will be exposed to throughout the 90days period of the training, said that they were grateful that throughout the three months they are spending on the training was free even with the provision of training centres, facilities and facilitators.

They expressed their eternal gratitude to the Speaker for the unprecedented kind gesture.

The participants also thanked Prince Mayor of Naprima Ideals Technologies Ltd and those from Softicu Hub for their support and guidance throughout the duration of the programme.

To show their appreciation, the participants made a wooden frame of the image of the Speaker which they presented through his Chief of Staff, Mazi Kenneth Ezeigbo.
Date for the formal graduation ceremony which will include presentation of certificates to the participants will be announced in due course even as the training continues.
