Chief of Army Staff, Attahiru Ibrahim, 6 Others To Be Buried At The National Military Cemetery

The Chief of Army Staff, (COAS), Attahiru Ibrahim and 6 other senior officers of the Nigerian Army that lost their lives in the Friday Plane Crash in Kaduna, Kaduna State will be buried today at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

A statement by the Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima has it that funeral services would be conducted at the National Mosque and National Christian Center, Abuja simultaneously for the dead officers by 10am.

Yerima in the statement stated that interment for the officers would hold at 1pm at the National Cemetery, Abuja with full military rites for the dead.

  1. The Burial proceedings of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Late Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru and 6 other senior officers who lost their lives in an air mishap in Kaduna is slated for today Saturday, 22 May 21. It will commence at the National Mosque and National Christian Centre, Abuja by 1000hrs respectively.
  2. Consequently, the interment for the late COAS and 6 other senior officers will take place at the National Military Cemetery, Abuja today by 1300hrs.
