Former Governor of Abia State and the Chief whip of the Nigerian Senate, Sen. Orji Kalu on Friday commissioned a 3km rural road with Asphalt and Drainage at Atan Ihechiowa community, Arochukwu Local Government Area.
According to Kalu, “This is in fulfilment of part of the pledges I made to the good people of Atan Ihechiowa during the 2019 election campaigns to construct their road which was in a deplorable situation during that period.
“In a show of gratitude a mini reception was held by the community, which I also appreciate,however I have always held that the provision of basic amenities remain right of the governed and must be met at all times,” said Kalu

Recall that the former Abia State Governor has in the last three weeks, have been inspecting and commissioning roads he attracted in Abia North Senatorial zone which have received a lot of commendation by the people of the zone as they beg the lawmaker to extend such gestures to other parts of the zone that are yet to benefit from his quality representation.
