The leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) on Thursday evening raised alarm over the whereabouts of innocent youths arrested by the Rivers State government on the pretence that they are members of the IPOB.
The Head Media and Publicity of the Pro-Biafra group, Comrade Emma Powerful in a statement accused army and the Rivers State government of arresting and tying over 300 “innocent Biafran youths” at Obigbo, Rivers State.
Powerful who also alleged the killing of Biafran youths in Abia, Imo
“Credible intelligence at the disposal of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB under the command of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, indicates that over 300 innocent Biafran youths have been arrested and tied by the Nigeria military at Obigbo Rivers State.
“The action of course, is sequel to the madness by Gov Nyesom Wike who in a rash Executive Order banned the activities of IPOB in Rivers State and declared its members wanted.
“We are equally aware of the killing of Biafran youths at Ukwa West and East as well as Aba all in Abia State where security agents are burning in boro pits.
“Killing of Biafran youths were also reported in Imo all in the name of hunting for IPOB members.
“Our message to the governors of the affected states is simply, they must account for innocent Biafrans killed by security forces in their states at the appointed time.”
