A yet-to-be confirmed report on Monday emerging from the camp of Enyimba International Football Club of Aba, Abia State, Nigeria has it that Ifeanyi Anaemenam was never captain of the team.
According to a post on one of the club’s social media pages; facebook, the club stated that contrary to insinuations making rounds that Anaemena is the captain of the team, that Andrew Abalogu is the team’s captain.
“For the records………….
“Anaemena was never an Enyimba captain, he was assistant to Andrew Abalogu since 2018 till this year he left the club.
“Mfon Udoh handed over to Andrew Abalogu in 2018 after he left the club and since then, Andrew has been the one captaining the team even now.
“Anamena only wears the captain armband when Andrew is not playing.
“A reminder that we signed Andrew Abalogu 10.5 million naira from ABS of Ilorin alongside Idris Aloma and Bright Esieme in 2012 while Anaemena joined us from Giwa FC in 2014.
