The Speaker of the 7th Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has condoled with the family of Late Chief Allen Nwachukwu (Obioha Ndi Ngwa) over the death of their patriarch.
In a condolence message to the family, the Speaker described Chief Nwachukwu, father of Honourable Nnamdi Allen Nwachukwu, Member representing Osisioma South State Constituency at the 7th Abia State House of Assembly, as a man of humane personality, uncommon wisdom, an astute politician and a hard-working individual who dedicated a great part of his life to the service of his people.
“An outstanding personality of Ukwa Ngwa extraction, all these qualities showed in the discharge of his duties as former Chairman of the defunct Obioma Ngwa LGA, former Commissioner for Works in Abia State, former Deputy Chairman of PDP in Abia State, and a former national officer of the PDP, traits which he bequeathed to his children as seen in Honourable Nnamdi Allen Nwachukwu at the Assembly”, he said.
While praying for the repose of the soul of Chief Nwachukwu, the Speaker, on behalf of Members of the 7th Abia State House of Assembly, urged the family to be consoled by the fact that their father led a good life and prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“Abia will miss him greatly”, he concluded.

The speaker has also commiserated with the family of Late Chief Okwara Osonwa Okwara, the Ugomba 1 of Ebem, Ikejimba of Ohafia and the Enyi Abia of Abia State, over the death of their patriarch who passed away recently at the age of 84.
The Speaker who described the Late Chief Okwara as an accomplished civil servant who served the nation meritoriously and retired in 1994 as an Executive Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), said he never forgot his roots but also made himself available to the service of his people both at the community and State levels, and even beyond.
He told the family through their son, Mr James Osonwa Okwara, that they should be consoled that their father bequeathed great virtues and an enduring legacy in Abia State in particular and the nation in general, a rare feat that also made him to be bestowed with the title of Atoyegbe 1 of Isolo in far away Lagos State.
“On behalf of myself, my family and Honourable Members of the 7th Abia State House of Assembly, I assure you and the entire Okwara dynasty that our thoughts are with you in these difficult times even as we pray the Almighty God to grant the soul of Pa Okwara eternal rest”, he concluded.
The Late Chief Okwara Osonwa Okwara was a Chartered Accountant who was in private practice until his death recently.
Similarly, Rt. Hon. Orji has commiserated with the family of Elder Statesman, Chief Emmanuel Adaelu of Abayi Amaugwu Autonomous Community in Osisioma Ngwa LGA, over the untimely demise of their son, Mr Alex Alozie Adaelu.
The Speaker who described the Late Alex Adaelu as a devoted Christian, loving family man, successful businessman and employer of labour, wondered why death has decided to lay its hands on one of Abia’s finest.
He urged the family to be consoled by the fact that the Late Mr Alex Adaelu lived a fulfilled life, saying he has no doubt that he is resting in the Lord.
