Ikpeazu participates in online Govs meeting

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State is part of the meeting of the Nigerian Governors Forum currently holding via electronic means.

The main focus of the meeting is the management of the COVID-19 pandemic and the forging of a united front by State Governors, putting into consideration, the peculiarities of each State.

The DG of the NCDC, Dr Ihekweazu took part in the meeting to brief the Governors on the current status of the fight against the pandemic and the way forward.

The leadership of the Private Sector Coalition against COVID-19 (CACOVID) also were part of the meeting to brief the Governors on the efforts of the Coalition in assisting states especially with palliative food items.

The Chairman of the Coalition, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the Co-Chair, Mr. Herbert Wigwe as well as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele all took part in the meeting.

The meeting is still on going and almost all the Governors are participating while the Chairman of the Forum, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State is presiding over the meeting.
