Abia Assembly Plenary for Today, Monday, 9th March, 2020.
The Abia State House of Assembly presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, received a Letter from the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, nominating Prof Mkpa Agu Mkpa as the Chairman-Designate of the Abia State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC).
The House subsequently invited the Chairman-Designate to appear before it on Tuesday during Plenary by 10am.
The House dissolved to the Committee of the Whole and considered the report of the House Committee on Agriculture on a petition titled “Save Our Soul”: A Call for Urgent Intervention in the Looming Crises between Ubaha- Umunna Nsulu Community and Fulani Herdsmen”, in the Committee of the Whole.
The House also considered the report of the Joint Committee on Health and Education on H.A.B 4: “A Bill for a Law to Establish the Abia State Hospital Management Board”.
The House subsequently adjourned Plenary to resume back on Tuesday, 10th of March, 2020, by 10am.
