Gov Ugwuanyi swears in new Commissioner, four youths as Special Advisers

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has sworn-in Hon. Mathew Idu as the Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, following his confirmation by the State Assembly. Hon. Idu is from Uzo Uwani Local Government Area.

Gov. Ugwuanyi also swore-in four youths; Mr. Anthony Ikenna Nwodo, Mr. Arinze Chilo-Offiah, Mr. Michael Ogbuekwe and Mr. Anthony Chukwudubem Onyia, as Special Advisers.

Swearing in the new aides, Gov. Ugwuanyi charged them to ensure that they hit the ground running in order to fulfill the social contract of his government with the people of the state.

He also charged them to advance good governance and to optimize service delivery.

The governor added that his administration’s commitment to ensure security and welfare of the people is sacrosanct, reiterating that “public officers must avoid contradicting politics with leadership.
