The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari is expected to lead delegation of political bigwigs in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the country to storm Umuahia, the Abia State capital as the gubernatorial candidate of the party, Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah flags off his campaign.
The event scheduled to take place at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Friday, January 11 by 12noon would be used to officially admit members of other political parties that have since joined the party in the state.
A release personally signed by Ogah, enjoined Abians to troop out in their numbers at the Umuahia Township stadium to give the President who expected to come with the National chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, his vice; Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Southeast National Vice Chairman, Emma Enukwu, George Morghalu and so many party bigwigs in the country.
It could be recalled that the APC guber candidate and his deputy, Rt. Hon. Martins Azubuike have at several events made it clear that they are coming to work for the state and its citizens who have suffered neglect under the PDP led administration in the state.
Information from the security circles has it that they have been mapping out strategies to ensure that the event was hitch-free.
