The factional Governorship candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State, Sir Chikwe Udensi has advised that the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) should be under the control and command of the Ministry of Justice.
Udensi speaking during a radio programme in Umuahia, the state capital said that police being under Ministry of Justice would ensure neutrality and guarantee adequate security of lives and property across the country.
The APGA gubernatorial candidate who is also a Security Expert, during a live radio program on Family Love FM 103.9 FM Umuahia frowned at the presently suggested formula of State Policing which he said will only be a disaster waiting to happen, owing to the abuse of power and authority by politicians in their various states.
He noted that handing over police to the states will only cause mayhem as Governors will use them as instruments of disorder and lawlessness.
Udensi expressing worries that security mercenaries already in the hands of the Federal Government is used to intimidate the State, feared that if the same mercenary is handed over to the State Governors, it will cause more disaster.

He opined that security apparatuses should be removed from the hands of politicians and handed to the unbiased and neutral Judiciary.
“All around the world where things happen properly, the security apparatus of any country is rested in the hands of the judiciary, the man who is in command and control of the judicial system is not a politician and does not have to take instructions from any politician, rather, he takes instructions from the legalities of Justice” He stated.
Udensi who said that he remains the sole Governorship candidate of APGA in the state, reiterated his commitment to making sure that Abia becomes a safe haven for residents and investors when elected Governor come 2019.
The international award winning Security Expert and Interpol Consultant revealed that reports from crime desks at divisional police offices indicated that 25 rape cases occur daily in Abia State, a situation which he described as horrible and requires a proactive measure to bring to a halt.
He promised that as the Chief Security Officer Of the State, he will not be reactive, but proactive by identifying various crime causing factors and addressing them at the primal stage.
The Governorship Candidate promised to end insecurity, impunity and lack of accountability in governance and change the general narratives about Abia state if elected the next governor of the state.
The Interpol Systems Expert challenged Abians not to vote for those disgruntled elements whose sole vision of becoming governor is to satisfy the wishes of their Godfather and further embezzle the state funds. He promised to secure the votes of Abians and make life more meaningful for Gods Own People as the Governor.
