Vote for candidate with character, Editor-in-Chief Urges Abia Journalists

The Editor-in-Chief,  ParrotNews, Mr. Loveday Tchidi has urged members of Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Abia State Council to look out for candidates with good character and antecedents for selfless service before casting their votes in their Triennial Congress holding today, October 31.

Loveday who gave the advice in Umuahia, the Abia State capital few hours to the commencement of election to key officers of the union said it has become imperative that members voted for people that they know that has all it takes to pursue the course of the association.

The ex Love FM Editor said that he decided to throw his weight behind one of the candidates contesting for chairman; Chidi Asonye, the Aba Correspondent of the Authority Newspaper because of his belief that he is the man that would carry everybody along as well as properly managing and utilizing the chapel’s prospects.

“His records are straight, he has not been in any case of shortchanging any of his colleagues nor has he ever tried to go to an assignment alone making it look like an exclusive when it was originally meant to be an open assignment”

He therefore urged the Correspondents Chapel members to vote wisely without sentiments, stressing that if the chapel’s dream of achieving total transformation for the profession and meeting the needs of the practitioners will be realized, Asonye would definitely be the right choice for the seat.
