APC guber aspirant allays fear of exit from party

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Prince Paul Ikonne has allays fears of dumping party after the APC primaries in the state.

 

Ikonne while speaking at the State secretariat of the party in Umuahia, the Abia State capital on Azikiwe by Adelabu Street said contrary to the fears that he would be leaving the party if he loses bid to win in the primaries, however said that he would be willing with whoever that emerges.

He also stated that he would be making sure that there would an APC governor in the state and President Muhammadu Buhari’s reelection bid in 2019.

 

The frontline politician who stated that the best of the incumbent governor of the state, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu was not enough going by the trust and expectations of the people in him which made them vote him into power in 2015.

Ikonne who said that he has better ideas to make Abia better than what it is at the moment, said that he has the reach and the knowledge on how to drive the economy of the state and Aba in particular without relying on the federal government’s monthly allocation through various economic diversification plans and programmes.
