Ex-Banker picks House of Rep form, says voice of women must be heard

Less than one month after officially declaring her intent to represent the people of Isiala Ngwa and South at the Federal House of Representatives in 2019 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abia State chapter, Lady Blessing Uwaoma Nwokonneya, an ex banker on Thursday, at the National Secretariat of the party collected her Expression of Interest and Nomination forms.

Nwokenneya was said to have told the leadership of the party that She came to obtain the forms as a way of answering the call by the youths, women groups and all the people of Isiala Ngwa North and South who have long wished for quality representation.

“I am here to obtain my Expression of Interest and Nomination Form as am ready to offer quality representation to our people. Our youths need to be employed, Our women need to be Empowered, Our people need a representative who is grounded and will make live easier to our people.”

She emphasized that no woman has ever represented the Federal constituency since the advent of our nascent democracy and the time to bring the needed change is now.
