Abia APC leadership meet with aspirants ahead of primaries

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Abia State chapter will today Wednesday, September 5, meet with all the aspirants of the party, infonet9ja.com has learnt.

 

Sources within the party in the state told this platform that all the governorship aspirants of the party; Uche Ogah, Comrade Chris Akomas, Friday Nwosu, Martins Azubuike among other candidates.

Infonet9ja.com could not immediately ascertain the reason for the meeting scheduled for 12noon, but party sources who craved anonymity told this platform that the State Working Committee (SWC) and stakeholders of the party have been in a crucial meeting which ended in the early hours of Wednesday in Umuahia, the state capital.

According to the sources who could not disclose the outcome of the meeting, stated that it could not be far from the position of the national secretariat of the party to adopt direct primaries.

 

It was gathered that the party members have been thrown into mixed opinions since the national secretariat adopted direct primaries for national and state primaries.

The Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, Comrade Benedict Godson could not be reached for comments on why the party is meeting with aspirants today in Umuahia.
