Speaking at his Nkata Ibeku country home, Umuahia, Apugo who was a prominent member of nPDP said despite the defection by few of its members, the group’s agreement with APC was still intact.

Apugo said that most of those who left APC to other parties particularly PDP are not only morally bankrupt, but also do not have electoral value.

“All of us left PDP because of the high level of impunity and the looting of the nation’s treasury that was the hallmark of the party.

“Those who defected back to PDP from APC, what will they tell their people? I’m not sure they consulted with those they are representing because most of them are going to encounter problems with their constituents.

“As for APC, the defections will not have any bearing on the party. Apart from the fact that some of them have started returning, those who will not have no electoral value, they cannot win election in their wards, therefore, APC has nothing to lose.”
