The Lawmaker representing Kogi West at the Red Chambers, Senator Dino Melaye has taken to his twitter handle to cry out over the failure of the authorities responsible to restore his security withdrawn from him since April 22.
Melaye in a tweet @dino_melaye vented his frustration after an attempt to have his security details restored and moves to hire the services of personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) failed.
“My police security withdrawn since 22nd of April 2018. Every effort to restore them has been futile. I applied for armed civil Defence no response. I’m an exposed Nigerian who has survived 4 assassination attempts in one year. Senate resolution to IG to provide security ignored,” Dino tweeted.
In a previous tweet on July 27, Dino however thanked God for escaping yet another “dangerous attack” and the love shown to him by his supporters and indeed Nigerians while his 11hour stay in the wilderness tarried.
The tweet read “I thank God once again for escaping another dangerous attack. I also thank Nigerians for their prayers and show of Love. Spent 11 hours in the wilderness traumatized but God preserved me. God is the best and in whom ONLY I trust. They will continue to try. WE SHALL OVERCOME!!!”

Recall that Dino who never hid his frustration about the President Muhammadu Buhari’s style of leadership were among the senators that dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) weeks after he did a skit mocking the APC, stressing that he can no longer wait to rejoin the PDP he had left along other in 2014.
