FRSC debunk knowledge of “successful” list of candidates

The social media was on Wednesday greeted with the news that the management of Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has released names of ‘successful’ candidates in a recruitment exercise carried out at the various State Commands of the agency this year.

Some of the news platforms went ahead to publish names of the successful candidates according to their states.

But the Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem in a statement on Thursday debunked the list making rounds.

Kazeem in a statement released to the public said, “The attention of the FRSC has been drawn to a false and misleading publication ‘FRSC Recruitment 2018 Shortlisted candidates in All States is out-Check your.

“The public should be informed that this is totally false and fabricated by some misleading miscreants.

“Hence the Corps would like to disclaim and refute the said publication on the above website and any other such publications circulating in other media”.

FRSC recently announced that it will recruit additional 4,650 officers and procure new logistics vehicles to improve road safety management in the country.

Corps Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi, said the corps will employ the best in road safety management in the second part of the year.

“For the second part of the year, we are going to put in our best, deploy more resources and logistics as we know that budget has been signed by the president.

“We have commenced the processes, for us to inject more vehicles, patrol van, ambulances and bikes that will enable us work more and strengthen our operations.

“We thank President Muhammadu Buhari, for the additional fund allocated to the corps.

“He has displayed his passion to improve on road safety management in the country within the last three years.

“In the next few months we should be able to procure all these items and we are also injecting additional personnel of about 4,650 to the system.
