Aftermath of Ekiti election: “I can never be suppressed”-says Fayose

The people of Ekiti State in Nigeria’s South West on Saturday July 14, 2018 filled out to elect the candidate that would govern the state in the next four years and at the end of the election that was allegedly characterized with money inducement of prospective voters by the two major political parties; All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), candidate of the APC, John Fayemi Kayode emerged the winner with over 190, 000 votes.

Recall that the PDP guber candidate Prof Kolapo Eleka and the leadership of the party had reportedly hired the services of Wole Olanipekun SAN, Afe Babalola SAN and three others to take up the legal actions to challenge the Ekiti State Governorship general election results in court.

 

Infonet9ja.com reported that stories from the gossip mills at the weekend after the victory of the APC revealed that an attempt to escape from the country to Paris through Benin Republic was botched by the security agents.

EFCC in the official twitter handle had twitted that it has dusted the file of N1.3bn fraud against Fayose that has been on since 2005 and suspended because of the immunity of the office he (Fayose) occupies.

 

 

As for me, I am Peter Ayodele Fayose , I hold with my head high. I can never be suppressed. I don’t lose battles and I will not lose this. By the power of God, I will laugh last.
