Ubosi however, disclosed that 11 motions were adopted by the house pointing out that the resolutions from the motions had contributed to the good governance the people of the state are enjoying.

Ubosi while appraising his colleagues for the contributions they made on the floor of the House as well as their oversight functions said that without them, there was nothing he could have done as the speaker.

Appreciating his colleagues for passing vote of confidence on him and the principal officers, he said it makes him jittery because it meant more work.

“This is the third time you are passing vote of confidence on me and the principal officers.  When you pass vote of confidence on me, it makes me jittery because it means more work.

” I thank God for the kind of people He gave me.  Some speakers serve two weeks, some one month but I have been your Speaker for three years,” he said.

Ubosi specifically commended his deputy, Donatus Uzogbado for being a dependable ally.  “He is a good man.  If I become a speaker any time again in my life, I’ll like to have him as my deputy,” he said.

The Deputy Speaker, Donatus Uzogbado who took the first shot while reacting to the Speaker’s address described Ubosi as a good driver who has been driving the house well.
