Late Aba based OAP to be laid to rest on Friday June 8

Deceased Aba based Radio Station (Magic Fm) presenter, Mr. Tochukwu Egegbara aka TJMC will be laid to rest on Friday June 8 at his father’s compound in Ngor Okpuala LGA Imo State.

Infonet9ja.com gathered that a service of songs which is organized by his former employer, Magic Fm where he was until his death, the programme manager would be held on Wednesday evening at Luxury City Hotel off Aba-Owerri road by Abba filling Station.

Before his death, late Egegbara worked with IBC (Imo State Broadcasting Corporation), now Orient, Hot Fm, before his stint with Magic Fm where he worked last.

Sources at the radio station said that their late colleague took some days leave on Monday to enable him take care of himself without knowing what was lurking.

They said that they received the news of his death with shock from the family early hours of Wednesday which threw all of them into shock.

They described the late On Air Presenter as easy going and a jolly good fellow.

Meanwhile tributes have been pouring in from fans and friends of TJMC as was fondly called.

A post on the official Facebook page of Magic Fm, Aba had read “It is with the deepest sense of loss that we, the loving Magic 102.9 FM, Aba Family, grieve over the passing unto glory of our colleague, Mr. Tochukwu Egegbara, A.K.A. TJ MC (HEAD OF PROGRAMMES) in the early hours of Wednesday, May 23, 2018.

“To each and every one of us, as well as our teaming fans, friends worldwide and his immediate family members, it is a shocking exit too hard to believe.

“We however take solace in the fact that he left his footprints in the sands of time and etched a remarkable imprimatur in Nigeria’s entertainment skyline.

“Rest in peace TJ MC.”
