The Commander 14 Brigade Nigerian Army Headquarters, Ohafia, Ohafia local government area, Brigadier General Ahmad M. Dikko, has charged troops under his command to exhibit professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
Brigadier Dikko who also doubles as the Commander Sector 3 Joint Task Force Southeast Operation Udoka while on an operational assessment visit to Headquarters Sector 3 Operation DELTA SAFE (OPDS), Owaza, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen operational effectiveness under Operation EASTERN SANITY, reminded the troops of the need to strict adherence to constitutional responsibilities, and unwavering discipline in the discharge of their duties.
The Brigade Commander, accompanied during the visit by the Commandant Nigeria Navy College of Accounting and Finance (NNCAF), Commodore B.U Quadri, who also made a stop at Sector 8 Operation CRUSH, Akirika Obu, where he addressed officers and soldiers, also charged the troops to maintain a what he described as heightened state of alertness, particularly given the unpredictable security environment within the Area of Responsibility (AoR).
He assured that the 14 Brigade Nigerian Army remains resolute in its unwavering commitment to the protection of citizens, the security of lives and property, and the defence of Nigeria’s sovereignty.
He used the opportunity of the visit to present 23 mattresses that were procured for troops as part of soldier first culture inline with the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Waidi Shaibu philosophy to further boost troops morale in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities within a joint and multi agency environment.
The Commander 14 Brigade Brigadier General AM Dikko subsequently proceeded to the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Owaza, where he handed over a refurbished Toyota Hilux vehicle to troops, to enhance operational readiness and improve quick response capability across the Sector’s Area of Responsibility.
A gesture that underscores the Brigade’s sustained commitment to troops’ welfare and operational efficiency.
