The Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emereuwa has commended the developmental drive and transformational leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, which he said is rubbing off positively on all the sectors of the state economy.
Rt. Hon. Emereuwa , who was joined by other lawmakers in the state, at the 22nd Convocation of the Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba, the commercial nerve of the state, held at the school’s pavilion, noted that the impact of the Dr. Alex Otti’s administration is felt across all the institutions of the state.
Rt. Hon. Emereuwa who called on Abians to continue supporting the Governor Otti’s led administration, said that he is convinced that the governor with the support of Abians will deliver more democratic dividend to the state.
The Speaker, impressed with what he has seen achieved by the Rector of Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Engr. Christopher Okoro Kalu since assuming leadership in the state institution, said that he is happy that the Rector is returning “sanity” in the polytechnic, saying that the Rector is a round peg in a round hole.
“I want to felicitate and congratulate Engr. Okoro who has been doing a lot of good work not only in academics, but you can see a lot of physical jobs that you do.
“You have also talked a lot in bringing back the morale of the lecturers and students of this great institution. I know that you can no longer do what they call sorting in this school; that is very important. You can no longer pay to get your results. These are things that we need to do to bring back sanity into our system.
