The Abia State Commissioner of Police (CP), Danladi Isa, has directed heads of Divisional Police across the 17 local government areas of the state to ensure that schools (both government and private) Worship Centres were adequately protected.

 

He also charged them to also ensure that public facilities and properties in the state didn’t suffer any form of vandalism.

 

Danladi who stated this whole on what the command described as a security awareness tour of some of the Area Commands under the state command warned both Area Commanders, Divisional Heads and members of the state Tactical Team Commanders to ensure the safety of their Area of Responsibility (AoR).

The Command’s spokesperson, Maureen Chinaka in a chat with journalists said “the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Police Command, CP Danladi Isa, in company of the Command’s Tactical Teams, embarked on a security awareness tour.

 

“The tour covered Obehie, Ugwunagbo, CPS Aba, Owerrenta, Ubakala, CPS Umuahia, Area Command Aba, Area Command Umuahia and other Divisions and Area Commands across the state.

“CP Danladi warned Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Team Commanders to ensure that security coverage is extended to schools, worship centers and other critical government infrastructures within their areas of jurisdiction.

 

“The CP appealed to the good people of Abia State to be proactive by volunteering useful information to the Police, either by reporting to the nearest police station or by contacting the Command’s emergency hotlines:
