Senior Pastor of Power World Ministries International, Rev Dr Uche Ume, today Tuesday 18th November 2025 paid a compassionate visit to an aged widow, Mrs Evelyn Ufomba, in Umuaro Village, Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.
Recall that Rev Ume had earlier directed that a borehole be drilled for the widow. However, according to him, the Spirit of the Lord led him to go beyond giving instructions and meet Mama Evelyn in ‘person’

“When I saw the video that someone sent to me, I reposted it and asked that those close to the woman should connect me with them, Hon. PUO connected me on a conference call with D’Light Muzik Nwachukwu. We spoke yesterday,” he explained.

“But I said I won’t send a delegation. I wanted to be here physically to meet Mama and to tell her that from today, she is now one of my mothers. My biological mother is alive, but I am adopting Mama as my mother as well.
“I will do whatever sons do for their mothers. She is also the mother of my sister abroad , her husband and all these people who joined me this morning.”

Rev Ume arrived with several relief items, including bags of rice, tubers of yam, groundnut oil, palm oil, sets of duvet, bathing and washing soaps, and other household essentials.
During the visit, he inspected her living conditions and immediately instructed an engineer to commence work on fixing the toilet and furnishing one of the unfinished rooms.
“If Mama can be grateful for the little thing done for her, it means we are still far from understanding true gratitude to God,” he said.

He further directed Mr Uchenna Paul, Director of Dlight Music, to work closely with Hon. Promise Uzoma Okoro, Chairman of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria in Abia State who accompanied him , to ensure that all of Mama Evelyn’s needs are met from time to time.
“We are buying Mama phone today so we can from time to time communicate with her and know what she may be in need of “
