The Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN) Abia State has conveyed her deepest condolences to Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu) over the passing of his beloved mother,Dame Peace Onyekwulechi Igbokwe who died on Saturday October 18, 2025 at the age of 60.
In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman Chief Promise Uzoma Okoro and the General Secretary Dr Steve Unegbu, the association described the exit of Dame Igbokwe as a huge loss not just to the deceased family and friends but to the Umuawa Alaocha community, Umuahia ,Abia State and Abians at large.
OMPAN members sincerely identify with the Chief Don Lulu and his siblings at this period of their bereavement as well as share in their pains while praying for God to fill the vacuum the death of Mrs has created in Igbokwe’s family,adding that her absence will be greatly felt by all.
However, “We ask the family to be consoled in the fact that the matriarch Dame lived a good life and the hope that she is resting peacefully in the bosom of our Lord and saviour.
“Life does not consist of how long one lived but the impact one was able to make while alive.
“Death is the inevitable end of every mortal.It is such a clarion call that all of us must answer someday at a particular minute and hour.
