The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa has decorated 63 personnel serving in the command who were recently promoted to various ranks.
The promoted personnel were decorated at the Police Officers’ Mess in Umuahia, the state capital.
Our correspondent reports that out of the 63 officers that were decorated with their new ranks, 16 were promoted from Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), while 11 officers were promoted from Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to Superintendent of Police (SP).
Others include 36 officers who were promoted from Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), including the Public Relations Officer of the command, Maureen Chinaka.
Addressing the personnel after their decoration, CP Isa charged the promoted officers to continue serving with dedication, and representing the image of the Nigeria Police Force honorably.
Reminding of the task that comes with their new ranks, the Abia Police Boss emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism, integrity, and accountability in their roles.
He further cautioned against incivility towards the public and stressed the need to shun corruption in all forms.
