Tinubu, VP, Akpabio, Abbas Bag Chieftaincy Titles In Abia

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday conferred with the Omeziri Igbo 1 Chieftaincy title by the Abia State leadership of the Abia State traditional rulers council.

Also was conferred with a chieftaincy title of Enyioma Ndígbo 1 by the state traditional rulers.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas bagged Dike Di Na Mba and Okwuruoha chieftaincy titles respectively.

Speaking after being decorated with the title, the President, represented by the Vice President while commending the Deputy Speaker, House of representatives and convener of Peace In Southeast Project (PISE-P) reinstated the commitment of the President Tinubu’s government to end insecurity in the southeast.

The vice President who noted importance of the region to the economic growth of the country, said that the President was concerned about the effect of insecurity on the economy of the southeast, which have lamented was posing a huge setback to the economic development of the area.

The President who affirmed that his government was ready to ensure safety of lives and property in the region, stated that the federal government would no longer fold its arms to watch unscrupulous individuals continue force the economy of the region to nosedive.

He appreciated the traditional rulers for finding it fit to bestow on him and others with such prestigious chieftaincy titles.

Gov. Hope Uzodinma, who spoke on behalf of Southeast governors while lamenting the untold hardship insecurity has caused the people of southeast, especially since 2021, expressed hope that the Ben Kalu’s pet project would go a long way to bring lasting peace to the troubled region.

The host governor, Dr. Alex Otti during the Declaration of the Southeast Peace Accord, noted that peace was what the region needed, noting that peace would deliver growth in all sectors of the region’s economy.
