Indigenes of Isuikwuato local government area of Abia State have commended the governor of the state, Dr. Alex Otti over the improved security in the area since the Inception of the current administration in the state.
The indigenes of Isuikwuato under the umbrella of N’noko Ndi Isuikwuato in a statement on Monday signed by members drawn from various communities in Isuikwuato, disclosed that the governor who inherited a local government with security challenges have been able to tackle insecurity in the local government headlong.
According to the group, the commitment of the governor to face insecurity in the local government and the launching of the “Operation Crush” were clear determination of the state governor to not just secure lives and property of the Isuikwuato people, but to ensure that the state was peaceful for business and economic growth and development.
The group also condemned the killing of one Mr. Maduka Zachary, a Labour Party (LP) chieftain in the LGA who was recently killed by yet-to-be known assailants.
The group who noted that the Uturu/ABSU axis road would soon witness heavy influx both human and vehicular traffic on the road during the approaching yuletide as indigenes and visitors would be visiting various communities within and outside area to be with their families and loved ones during the Christmas season.

“We, the N’noko Ndi Isuikwuato group have observed with great interest the level of security improvement in isuikwuato/uturu environment and want to start this letter by first, appreciating the governor for the exceptional and proactive leadership approach used in curbing the level of insecurity in Isuikwuato and Umunneochi local Government Areas of the state.
“However, we condemn the recent gruesome killing of Mr. Maduka Zachary by some yet to be identified men of underworld.
“The Akara-ABSU-Okigwe road that was once a death trap and den of criminals to many road users have witnessed a significant ease since the introduction of Operation Flush Out on that axis and we pray, the security operatives keep and maintain the momentum.
“While Isuikwuato Development Union and Uturu Development Association must continue in their efforts to secure their respective communities, using the local community policing and vigilante. For It is not yet uhuru.
“As we approach the Christmas season, we wish to charge every road user and traveller to be security conscious and cooperate with all security operatives to enable them carry out their jobs diligently and without obstructions but be prompt to notify relevant the authorities in a case of unprofessionalism and misconduct by any security agents.
“We would also like to enjoin our brothers and sisters in diaspora who have been contemplating whether or not to return home for the yuletide to be assured that there’s an improved security courtesy of the pro-active government of the Dr Alex Otti led administration and the respective security agencies.”
