A man identified Mr. Chidi Nkire, from Mgboko Okpulor, Ike-Mgboko Autonomous Community local government area of Abia State has reportedly arrested for defiling his three Under-aged daughters.
It was learnt that Mr. Nkire who is said to be in his late fifties defiled daughters aged twelve (12), thirteen (13) and fourteen (14) respectively.
It was learnt that the suspect resorted to abusing his daughters to satisfy his sexual urge months after divorcing their mother.
He was said to have been arrested by the vigilante of the community after the mother of the children drew their attention to her ex-husband’s ungodly act.
A source within the vigilante told our correspondent that the man who admitted having carnal knowledge of his children blamed the devil for his actions.
The source disclosed that what broke the camel’s back was that one of the daughters summoned the courage to raised the alarm that attracted the villagers as the father was forcefully dragging her away from her mother’s shop to have his way after she had turned down his earlier request to come home with him.
Our correspondent gathered that the wife of the randy man in a statement made at the office of the Abia State Community Police/Vigilante Group (a neighbourhood watch in Obingwa LGA), Chioma Isaac disclosed that her ex-husband started sleeping with the daughters after their divorce in 2022.
She she was said to have informed the vigilante group that one of her daughters complained to her that, her husband have been forcefully having frequent carnal knowledge of them.
She said that the children told her that any time they refused their father’s sexual advances, he wiuldstarve them as a punishment.
According to Mrs. Isaac, her ex-husband would send the children to buy shear-butter which he applies to his genital and theirs possibly for easy penetration, adding that the father of the children not minding the pains he subjects the children to, also forcefully had anal penetration on his daughters.
“One day, I wasn’t in my shop, my daughters were there. My husband came to my shop. He sent one of my daughters to buy a bread for him.
“He told one of them to go home with him, and she refused. He forcefully took her, and my daughter started shouting.
“Individuals around the vicinity rounded my husband, and my daughter. They thoroughly interrogated my husband, and my daughter.
“They garnered the truth. This is how my husband was arrested. Thank God that my husband’s arrest was not from me. I have been warning, and barking on him on this shameful act,” the mother of the children was quoted to have told relatives on how her husband was arrested.
The suspect, it was gathered is now at the custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Umuahia, the state capital.

Abia State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Maureen Chinaka confirmed the arrest of Mr. Nkire and his detention at the SCID office, adding that police was already conducting thorough investigation to ascertain the veracity of the rape allegations against the suspect.
