A former governor aspirant of the Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sir Friday Nwosu is reported dead.
Nwosu, who was a 2015 governorship aspirant of the APC in Abia State, until his death, was the APC National Welfare Secretary of the party.
The cause of his death could not be immediately ascertained, but reports have it that he has been on admission in an undisclosed hospital in Abuja; the nation’s capital, where he was been treated of an undisclosed illness.
Nwosu, an indigene of Mgboko Umuoria in Obingwa local government area of the state was popularly known as ikpebeyi (someone who cannot be influenced with money.
He was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and later defected to the APC after he felt being wrongly and badly treated by the leadership of his party.
Nwosu, a retired police officer and Abuja based lawyer, until his death, believed in power rotation within the three senatorial districts in Abia State, but however maintained that power should not be given to mediocres.
