The deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State Hon Obinna Ichita, has said the lack of development in the State is traceable to the mismanagement of resources by the Peoples Democratic Party led government in the State.
He said a situation where huge amount of money was uncounted for under the guise of security vote was imnical to development of the State.
Ichita, who spoke during the deputy governorship candidate debate organized by the Abia election debate on Saturday, lamented that the health, educational and infrastructural development of the state was under deplorable condition in the State.
He, however, said the educational sector in the state will experience a total revolution if the governorship candidate of the party Prof Gregory Ibe is elected governor.
Ichita, pointed out the rot in the education system was traceable to the indeffernt attitude of leaders whose children are schooling in over sea countries.
He alleged that some public schools had been handed over to private individuals for personal reasons, while sound moral training of students had been relegated to the background.
The members representing Aba South State constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly posited that it’s only candidate that has not been part of the rot in the system that could change the narrative in the state.
