Parishioners of the Presbyterian Church, Ntalakwu Parish in Itumbauzo ward, Bende local government area of Abia State have adopted the Young Progressives Party (YPP) candidate for Bende South State Constituency for March 11 State House of Assembly seat, Hon. Ugochukwu Nwankwo as their sole candidate.
Also adopted by the church as their consensus is the Deputy governorship candidate of the party, Hon. Chima Anyaso.
They took the decision when the Bende South State Constituency candidate visited the church at the weekend.
According to the church, the adoption of Nwankwo and Anyaso were based not only on merit but their exquisite contributions to the house of God and humanity.
Hon. Ugochukwu Nwankwo in his speech thanked the church for finding him and his leader and principal, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso worthy of the adoption and also for the prayers ushered on them.
He assured the parish that the YPP victory will be a victory for the church, the body of Christ, and Ndi Abia in general.
