England’s National Team forward, Raheem Sterling has departed Qatar after yet-to-be identified gunmen invaded his home in England.
It was learnt that some members of Sterling’s family, including his wife and children were in the house when the incident happened.
Report has it that the news unsettled Sterling as he feared that the family’s life could be in danger.
In a post on his official facebook page, Fabrizio Romano disclosed that Sterling would be returning to the England’s squad in Qatar if he thinks it is necessary to do so and safety of his family guaranteed.

“His home in England was raided by armed invaders while his partner and young children were in the house on Saturday night, sources confirm.
“Raheem’s understood to be hugely committed to England and World Cup — but then he immediately wanted to get home as he’s worried for his family, his children.
“Sterling communicated his plan to leave as he has full support of Southgate, all the teammates and FA.
